Carol, I can only say how beautiful this memorial to your mom is. She was indeed a wonderful person, and even though I hadn't seen her in years she had become very dear to me. I think of her often and miss the many phone calls we made to each other. Of course, most of the time we talked about food and passed recipes back and forth through e-mail, but more than anything, I wish I could hear her voice again. Her strength and her love were boundless. She always knew the right thing to say, and never did speak a bad word about anyone. She loved you and your brother more than life itself, and was as proud of you two as much as she loved you. I miss her tremendously.

I can't believe that is 4 years already. I really do miss you a lot, big sister. Say hello to my mom & dad, thanks. Lorraine

Your words to me recently, Carol, that "When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure" surely were inspired by your sweet mothers angelic influence in your life. I was fortunate to be with my own mother, 9/10/96 when she passed, and read to her the entire passage of Psalms 23. Then, I read to her the scripture she'd repeated so often that summer from her very own wheelchair, "For those that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings as Eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not be faint" Isaiah 40:31... I then leaned over, whispering to her in her sweet ear "Mom, it's time to go get your wings", and she was gone very soon after...It is a moment in my life I shall never ever forget, and I shall guard and treasure that very memory itself as one of my most precious of life's memories...It is one of life's little miracles, that our mother's influence seems never to fade in our lives, even when they're gone...

Carol - please accept my deepest condolences of the loss of your Mother. I is never easy to have a loved one go to Heaven. My wife (also with cancer) left this world 5/31/06 and I miss her every single day. She is on here too. The only comfort I get is knowing she is not in anymore pain and living with our Heavenly Father, please allow comfort into your heart from the fond memories of your Mother and knowing she is pain-free & living with our Heavenly Father. God bless your and your family.
