The loss of a Loved One

Ways to Memorialize A Loved One

Beloved Hearts Memorial
As a guardian of the Beloved Hearts Memorial you create. You can return at any time to change a favorite article, leave new flowers and shrubbery, change the season of the residency or leave a special memory of your loved one. This is a loving gesture of the memory of a loved one. Create a Beloved Hearts Memorial for your Loved One.

Garden Pond
Create a water pond in memory of your Loved One. It a project of love. Add fish and planted flowers and plants around it. The birds take baths in it and frogs lie on the lilly pads. The sound of the water is so comforting. Buy a corian marker that says "In Loving memory of... " with the departed's name and dates engraved. Anyone that visits can see the beauty of nature and the love and respect you have for your Beloved.

Album and Memorial Table
Put an album together with pictures and memories. Some set up a memorial on a table in a favorite room with the Departed's urn, a piece of the Beloved's hair in a frame with a photo, a candle and the Beloved Hearts poem. Many will light a candle, especially on their departed's anniversary.

Volunteer
Volunteer to help others by Grief Counseling , or on-line at Grief Support chat rooms (to just be there as a friend for support). Some go on to create a fund in their departed's name, raising money for causes that were special to their dearly departed.

Memorial Web Sites
Create a memorial web site for your Beloved. Many Internet Service providers, including AOL, provide free space for their members to create a web site. Add stories with photo's and memories of your Loved One.

Jewelry
Many wear memorabilia like a piece of hair or a photo in a locket or wear a pin in memory of their Loved One. Some buy jewelry with the departed's name engraved on it.
